IndexNow

Tells Bing, Yandex, Seznam and Naver the moment a page changes, instead of waiting for the next crawl.

Search engines find changes when they next come around — which can take days. IndexNow lets you tell them right away. Bing, Yandex, Seznam and Naver take part. Google does not, so a sitemap remains the way there.

This plugin does one thing and stays out of everything else: it does not generate a sitemap, does not touch your meta tags and does not change your theme. It works alongside whichever SEO or sitemap plugin you already run.

Setup is one button

Admin → IndexNow → Enable. The plugin generates the key, writes the key file to your document root, and then fetches that file over HTTP to confirm it is really reachable and really returns the key. Only then is anything saved.

If it does not work, the leftover file is removed and you are told why — unreachable, wrong status code, or altered content. That check is the whole point: a key that cannot be verified makes every later submission fail with 403, far away from its cause, and you would be left guessing.

Changes are reported by themselves

Save a page or a news post and it is reported immediately. That is what IndexNow is for — a plugin that only submits when someone remembers to press a button misses it.

Only pages a visitor can actually open are reported: a post scheduled for tomorrow, a disabled page or one restricted to a role is skipped. The request goes out after the response, so saving in the admin panel is never slowed down, and a failed submission can never disturb the save that triggered it.

Automatic reporting can be switched off.

Submitting everything at once

Submit all URLs reads your existing sitemap.xml and submits what it finds. The address is configurable, so it works with any plugin that produces one.

The answer comes back in plain words rather than as a status code: accepted, still validating, key rejected, host mismatch, rate limited. "Still validating" is normal on a first submission and says so.
